Regardless of which diet program you chose, you'll still need to follow the dieting basics, or you'll never be able to lose that extra fat. In this article, I'll tell you about five methods that can work for weight loss.
1. Metabolism is a major weight loss determinant: Remember to keep in mind that your metabolic rate will determine how much weight you can lose at a given point in time. If your metabolic rate is really high, you can lose a lot of weight even when resting; though, if your metabolic rate is really slow, then you should really find ways to increases it. One way of speeding up your metabolism rate is using weight loss pills and supplements.
2. Regular exercises is a must: Regardless of how much you follow your diet, if all day your a couch potato sitting on your couch and watching your favorite TV program, or surfing the internet, how can you plan to lose all that extra weight? You need to exercise regularly and not even skip a single workout session! If you are worried of a high intensity exercise such as cardio and resistance training, you may start with a lighter aerobics. Aerobics can make you burn as much fat as cardio. If you can't do exercises at all, just doing regular walking will help you burn that extra fat.
3. Don't lose weight too quickly: I know that you're in a hurry to lose that extra weight and fit yourself into one of those old jeans or hot bikinis, but you shouldn't ever attempt to lose that weight too fast. You shouldn't lose more than 1 or 2 pounds per week. If you lose more than that then it can mess with your health negatively. If you think you're losing weight too fast, you should quickly see a doctor.
4. Eat low fat, low calorie foods only: I know that every weight loss expert has sold you the same thing, but let me reiterate that you should eat only foods that have a low fat and calorie content. Eating fatty and junk foods simply make your situation worse, and don't help at all!
5. Work even harder for hereditary obesity: Some people just become overweight due to a hereditary issues. If your parents are overweight then it's no wonder that you won't be different. Plus, people who suffer from hereditary obesity must work harder than others in order to lose that extra weight. This doesn't mean that you can't lose weight; but you shouldn't expect yourself to become mega slim like others.
