Possibly one of the hardest goals to achieve in your life is losing weight. Weight loss is really difficult, but what's even more difficult is trying to keep the weight off for good. To keep from giving in to the many temptations, just be sure you have a nice stock of raw fruits and vegetables in your home. Plus, make sure to cook your own meals. Then you will be able to decide how much oil you need to use. Remember, the less oil you consume, the better it is for you!

2. Eat meals in little portions: Don't try to be lazy. While you may think that if you simply eat only once a day you will survive anyway, though if you really want to lose that extra weight, then eating a large meal will not be in your best interest. You should cut your large dinner into four or five small meals and eat each of those small portions every four or five hours. Every time you eat a meal, your metabolism will increase so you will then be able to burn a lot of that fat. It will also help lower your appetite as you will stop feeling hungry all the time!

3. Cut down the calories intake without depriving yourself of food: You will lose weight only when you consume less calories than what you burn up, and to achieve this end, start cutting down on your calorie intake by little percentages everyday. Now remember, you should make sure that in the challenge of cutting your calorie intake, you don't deprive yourself of your favorite foods, otherwise you will soon start binge eating which will just cause you to gain weight!

4. Exercise: Exercise is one of the best ways to lose weight. As much as you might hate to workout in the gym, or run a few miles down the street, you must do it if you are really serious about losing that extra belly fat. Workouts not only speed up your metabolism, but it will also give you more muscles mass. Having an increase in your metabolic rate and muscle mass will help you burn more fat in less time. You should make sure you increase your physical activity level as much as you can. For example, if you go down to the grocery store in your car, start using your legs instead, and buy leather bags, fill them up with groceries and carry them home. If you make it to your office room using the elevator, just take to the stairs instead! Spend your break at the break room? Walk around the block.

As you can see here, there's no better way to lose that extra weight than by diet and exercise. Though, if this doesn't work for you, then you need to visit a doctor and get some advice. Your doctor may then ask you either to take some weight loss supplements and pills or get under the knife and have surgery.
